Editorial Standards
Review how I write and check the information on this website. Specifically, it covers how I publish educational articles.
My goal is to maintain the highest possible editorial standards as I write educational articles to help you understand insurance topics. Every article is checked for facts. I want you to understand your choices; that’s my goal for my articles.
On the articles page, I focus on education — not sales. The remaining pages of this site are about my insurance business. I do try to sell insurance on those pages.
Information Sources
I use sources I can trust:
- Government rules: Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rules, State of Florida and State of Georgia insurance regulations.
- Government websites: CMS (Medicare.gov ), Social Security Administration (SSA.gov ), state insurance offices.
- Insurance company paperwork: Plan guides and coverage information.
- Research: Studies about health and insurance
I use research to explain how insurance works. But I do not give health advice. For health questions, talk to your doctor.
What I Write About
I explain how insurance products work. I write about Medicare, health insurance, life insurance, temporary insurance, and supplemental coverage. I tell you about deadlines, deductibles, and what happens if you miss a deadline. I do not tell you what plan to buy. I only give you the facts, not opinions.
I explain different types of insurance products, but not specific plans. I don’t say one is better than another. That choice is yours to make.
Fact Checking
I check all facts before I publish. If I find an error later, I fix it right away.
Did you find a mistake? I want this site to be right; review section 8 below.
I Am Independent
I work for myself. I am not employed by any insurance company. No company pays me to write what I write. What I choose to cover is my decision alone.
My Insurance Licenses
I am licensed to sell health and life insurance products in Florida and Georgia only. I have an individual license and my agency (CHL Insurance Solutions, LLC) has its own agency-specific license.
- Florida: Individual W960118; Agency L131407
- Georgia: Individual 3760385; Agency 241106
My licenses let me sell Medicare, health insurance, life insurance, temporary coverage, and supplemental coverage.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Disclosure
I use an AI tool called Claude, developed by Anthropic. AI is efficient at finding sources for fact checking, and helps me organize ideas. The AI doesn’t decide what to publish — I do.
I never use AI to make up stories or fake sources.
Legal Notices on Articles
Articles about Medicare include required legal notices. Articles about life insurance and health insurance include required legal notices. These notices are required by law. They protect you.
Depending on the article, you will either find the disclaimer within the article body itself, or you may find it in the lower “footer” of the article.
Questions or Error Reporting
Want to ask me something? Have a question about the standards on this page? Did you find an error? I value transparency, honesty, and accuracy — do not hesitate to reach out to me to report inaccurate information and I promise to promptly investigate where I went wrong and if needed, make the correction.
The fastest way to contact me is through my on-site secure message form by reaching me through my secure message form
You are not required to provide your name, or contact information; simply reporting the error is sufficient. If you would like to leave your email, I would be grateful to be able to thank whomever took the time to help me deliver accurate information.
